削弱题如果结论是：
therefore……，since……
那么削弱应该是削therefore后面的，还是since后面的？？
一直疑惑中。。
不好意思，手边没有题能贴上来。。

(A) Industrial production also is declining in Country X.

(B) Whereas Country Y is landlocked, Country X has a major seaport.

(C) Both Country X and Country Y have been experiencing drought conditions.

(E) Country X's new government instituted a centralized economy with the intention of ensuring an equitable distribution of goods.

这道题削弱，削弱的是那句话呀？我怎么看着是削弱的第一句话：An overly centralized economy, not the changes in the climate, is responsible for the poor agricultural production in Country X since its new government came to power.那所说的削弱”结论”——结论指的的是什么？是conclusiong总结句（这里的第一句），还是最后一句（这里给出的理由）？

therefore 后面是结论，since 后面是原因
削弱是削弱结果，即这种因果的逻辑关系
不是单纯的削弱哪一个部分

削弱的是结论，第一句话就是结论。
since + 理由。这个例子本身是没有错误的，错在不能当做理由，即这个例子证明不了结论

An overly centralized economy, not the changes in the climate, is responsible for the poor agricultural production in Country X since its new government came to power.Neighboring Country Y has experienced the same climatic conditions, but while agricultural production has been falling in Country X, it has been rising in Country Y.
农作物低产的原因，是过度集中的经济，而不是气候改变（这句话是结论）。因为邻国Y 有一样的气候条件，但农作物产量上升（这句话是理由）

它的逻辑是：
拿Y国与X国对比，控制了一个不变量（气候），所以，经济是 X减产的原因
这里很明显忽略了很多其他的可能造成减产的原因
所以要削弱，要找到其他的原因。

求削弱

X国工业也减产。无关

(B) Whereas Country Y is landlocked, Country X has a major seaport.
Y国在内陆。X国在港口。个人觉得也有削弱，但是没有D直接，

(C) Both Country X and Country Y have been experiencing drought conditions.
X和Y气候条件一样。支持

(D) The crops that have always been grown in Country X are different from those that have always been grown in Country Y.
X和Y的农作物不一样。所以“X,Y气候相同”不能作为论据，因为不同作物要求的气候不同。直接削弱题目的因果逻辑

(E) Country X's new government instituted a centralized economy with the intention of ensuring an equitable distribution of goods.
X的centralized economy.无关

这道题说的是要削弱第一句话也就是要消弱“economy是导致agricultural production减少的原因.
B说了两国的区别是economy不同，其实是strengthen了而不是weaken。
D说的是两国农作物不一样，说赢有可能是农作物导致的粮食产量不同， weaken了第一句话。
og解释也是这样说的。而不是四楼所说的B选项没有D直接。
但是这道题如何判断argument真的很模糊。。。。。
其实读一读觉得第二句其实是第一句argument的一个evidence。两国气候都一样。但是粮食产量不同。肯定是有别的原因导致粮食产量不同。而且他问的是消弱argument。第二句显然不能当argument充其量是个evidence
