请问大家都做XDF的绿皮数学么？是不是感觉比实际考试要简单阿？

顺便请教大家一道题，希望得到简便算法：

The population of a bacteria culture doubles every 2 minutes. Approximately how many minutes will it take for the population to grow from 1,000 to 500,000 bacteria?

a. 10
b. 12
c. 14
d. 16
e. 18

答案：E。
解题过程：The population of a bacteria culture doubles every 2 minutes. Approximately how many minutes will it take for the population to grow from 1,000 to 500,000 bacteria?
问所需要时间？
已知每两分钟DOUBLE，如能知道DOUBLE 了多少次，×2即为所需时间
1，000到500，000翻了500倍，而2的9次方接近500，所以DOUBLE 了9次。
时间9×2＝18

再问一道题。。。。

If a is a positive integer, and if the units' digit of a^2 is 9 and the units' digit of (a+1)^2 is 4, what is the units' digit of (a+2)^2?

a. 1
b. 3
c. 5
d. 6
e. 14

答案是1 但是我看不明白解题过程。。。。。

a平方的个位是9，说明a的个位是3、7；a+1平方的个位是4，说明a+1的个位是2，8，这样看来，a的个位应该是7，那么a+2的个位是9，其平方的个位是1
