cong, 150 applications!
doctoral program in organizational behavior and human resources a record-high 52 minutes!!! unbelievable!!! it teared off my nerve... casual talk taking up at least 20% of the time at the very beginning and the end 9 formal questions proposed 1. why phd right now 2. why not find a job in the industry and get some w/e 3. past research experience 4. current research interests 5. a question about my paper 6. question about research methods such as confirmatory factor analysis and hierarchical regression analysis (my paper employs these two methods) 7. why their program 8. any knowledge on their faculties' research outcomes 9. any good research idea right now it appears that they receive over 150 applications for fall 2010. and there are about 10-12 people on the short list (not waiting list) right now. most of the candidates on the short list have impressive research experience such as conference presentations or journal publications. faculty meeting will be held next tuesday to decide the candidacy for admissions. financial aid package seems to be extremely generous if compared with the one offered in previous years. $18K/9 months plus $4-8K fellowship renewable up to four years plus $4K summer teaching support. in addition, 3rd and 4th year students will receive $6-8K dissertation fellowship per year. this is my fifth interview.... yet not a single offer at all.... i had a very bad feeling.... luck is all that we are in need of... -- by 会员 oiw (2010/2/7 23:36:52)
