对于67题的a选项，slightly weaken的前提是满足两个条件：For if fossil fuels are used to produce the electricity now used by the industries--如果fossil fuels用来给新机器发电
if it is because of these newer technologies that output has increased--如果这些新机器的产量增加
那么可以推出fossil fuel的需求量应该还会增加而不是减少，因此削弱结论。

这道题的b，当时也想了很久，不明白og地解释。现在再看看，其实b可以算是无关选项：原文讨论的是whether less fossil fuel will be used as a result of the operations of these industries,说的是operation的过程；而b说的是manufacture the machinery，制造机器的过程。两个过程是不一样的，所以og上说的是：It does not matter how much fossil fuel was used to manufacture the older technologies originally.

因为在operation的过程中，这些原来制造机器所消耗的fossil fuel是不会有变化的。

今天重做了67，错了。没仔细看就选B了。现在明白了。
看了楼上的解释也明白了。我的理解是原文说的operation是几个产业的operation.而B选项只是说是制造机器的operation.范围缩小了。所以不能很好的支持结论。可以这样理解吗？

按照OG,E 选项不对，因为题目讨论的是continued operation. 重点就在这里了，continued意味着operation 现在怎样，而不是originally 怎样；operation 是讨论的重点，而不是manufacture the machinery
