求教prep的SC一题

红色的C是我选的，但是答案选的是蓝色E。 我认为E是错的，因为少了介词toward。

SC的平行结构知识点中有讲到：介词短语并列（并且两介词是一样的），一定要重复写出介词！

所以现在我对于这道题很茫然，请大牛们给予解释哈。

就是动词的平行对称问题的优先级高啊，所以5个选项里面只能选E了。
