I wanna apply a master programme in real estate.

My profile are as follows: GPA 2.7-2.8 in BEng Civil Engineering from HKU

GPA 3.7 (A- in overall) in MSc Mathematics (Financial Mathematics and Statistics-Full Time) from HKUST

GRE 1350 (Quant 800, Verbal 550).

I have two years of working experience as an assistant civil engineer and one year of working experience as a credit risk analyst in a mortgage security firm.

I would like to apply the following programmes

1. Columbia MS Real Estate Development

2. .NYU MS Real Estate

3. University of Reading MSc Real Estate Investment and Economics

4. LSE MSc Real Estate Economics and Finance

Note, I have got offer from U of Reading, MSc in Surveying (Majoring in Real Estate) and HKU MSc in Real Estate (General Practice)

Any recommendation or advice?

And I wanna ask if there is any advantage if I have a MHKIS/MRICS in QS/GP for application?

我07年国内重点大学毕业，GPA3.5左右，在港资的房地产企业做MT（MT的program是三年，现在一年半了），主要是项目管理方向的，打算今年开始准备考GMAT，计划三年后申请Real estate方向的master,目前计划是cornell和columbia，最喜欢的是MIT，但希望很渺茫。也希望和各位长辈请教阿~

Why not MIT?

I attended MIT's executive program a while back. The chairman of the Center for Real Estate taught some classes himself. He's really good in that he is a developer-turned-professor. So he can speak from both a professional and an academic perspective

He said there's a one-year full time program in Boston. I'd highly recommend it. The executive program has too many senior executives and comes with problems common to all executive programs. You see students playing with blackberry all the time, answering calls during classes, making unrelated comments and acting if they're the boss without understanding the content, etc. It's much better to learn with a group of focused and highly qualified individuals in their full time program!

我MSC construction Project Management毕业了，现在港资开发商做PM,准备申请哥伦比亚，MIT.

置业目标是Real Estate Private Equity.

May I know if you have sustaintial working experiences in construction industry before considering the MSc real estate development from Columbia?

What's more, do you have any professional qualification like RICS, ICE, Chartered Architect?
