IMBA is for culture immersion, not international trade. If you want to find a job in a different continent, say Europe, IMBA could be useful. Otherwise you probably don't want it as it brings a drag to your recruiting schedule.

As a native Chinese, you are by default "International". Few Chinese students elect to get an IMBA.

All chicago prospective students, when did your application status change to "Complete" after you submit your R1 application( i mean after deadline)?

When did you get your "invitation to interview"(say, 20 days after deadline?)

about 1 week later: complete;

about 2 weeks later: interview invitation.

Chicago GSB will inform you by email if there is any change on your application status. So don't worry. Just be patient.

Hi, I just got an interview invitation today and I am choosing between on-campus interview and off-campus interview. I am in Boston now so I can do it here with an alumnus, but is there any advantage to come to Chicago for on-campus interview from an admissions standpoint? I would need to take a day off and either fly in early or the day before for on-campus interview.

Does anyone have any advice on that? Thanks!

我也有问题. 从面试邀请信上看, 好象面试人不会读我的论文, 那么, 我是不是可以把论文背背来应付面试回答问题. ??

Hi, I got the invite today as well and I am planning to interview with an alum.

My personal 2 cents: an alum might be in a better position to evaluate a candidate --- more experiences, less time constraints, more flexibility, etc. Apparently, there are good and bad with each option though.

请问芝大的牛牛们，我对芝大也很有兴趣，但最近看到的信息却对它有点疑虑：

1、芝大的安全问题。曾经在其他地方看到说，芝大是坐落在黑人区，周边烧杀抢掠不断，治安很差，女孩子去读不安全。

2、现在五大湖区在衰落，听说chicago在不断滑落，已经被洛杉矶和德州赶超，而很多企业也从chicago撤走，芝大已经没有以前那么风光了。

以上的都是我从网上看到的，请了解芝大的朋友或在读书的学长回应一下，谢谢！

(在两个芝大的帖子都问了这个问题，因为不知道那个帖人气多点，不好意思了！)
