(题目不懂)Less than 50 percent of a certain tropical country’s wild lands remains intact. Efforts are under way to restore biological diversity in that country by restoring some destroyed wild habitats and extending some relatively intact portions of forests. However, opponents argue that these efforts are not needed because there is still plenty of wildland left.

A-- so what? it doesnt help to answer the question.
B-- this is totally out of scope.
C-- irrelevant.
E-- it provides another alternatives, but really it does not say anything to attact the opponent's argument --- which is " there is still plenty of wildland left"
D-- is the correct one. here it says even though there are plenty of wildland left but it "do not provide approriate habitats for reproduction" of those intact lands, and therefore, efforts are seeked to improve the condition. This is the correct one.
