first, what level of security clearance you can get? If you cannot get high level clearance, you can forget about it. If you want to do defense contract related finance deals, your connection is more important than anything else. if your relative is working in white house or pentagon, you will have a better chance. to sum it up, MBA is not that important until you have some necessarities.
I currently have s and working on ts and sci. I agree that connection is important in defense acquisition, I have friends and relatives in all major four defense contractors and DoD, although not to the level of Pentagon. A degree in MBA and defense acquisition seems to be essential to apply for a government acquisition job, I would only assume Defense contractors would require the same.
No one's born with connections, you have to accumulate them as time goes
