Some people like doing work by hand. Others prefer using machines. Which do you prefer? Use specific reasons and example to support your answer.

There are mainly two types of doing work in the history. One is by hand, which comes into Beijing early and still exists; however, the other, using machines, which comes into being fairly much alter, seems to be the trend of doing work. Based on the distinct merits as below, I would prefer using machines as often as possible.

One of the distinct merits of using machines, compared with doing work by hand is that it is able to maintain the same quality while producing in large quantity. Take the machine-made sweater for example. It would take half a month for an adept woman to make a sweater. In contrast, a machine may produce ten a day guaranteeing the same quality or even better. With the continuously developing technology, the machines will be capable of handling work in more an more areas. Doing work by machines can free more people out from dull while endless work and make it full us of human resources. This is the dominant reason why people prefer using machines.

What’s more, machines may do jobs that human can hardly or is impossible to do, which makes doing work by hand absolutely impractical, even(not 我现在知道错了) to say preferable. Just imagine what it would be like if humans submerge to the depth of the ocean to mine the minerals by hand or travel along the orbit outside the earth like man-made satellites to forecast weather? Machines make our life easier and still keep giving us marvelous wonders in the limitless innovation. Cases in point are not rare as technology is still developing. Machines are fulfilling Missions Impossible which was inconceivable before.

Doing work by hand, with its inherent merits like rendering pleasure, offering good physical exercises, having a special meaning etc. does have the reason for existence. However, it will be finally limitted(我事实上就是双写了t.) in a small circle as machines dominate gradually. This is the dream of human being and I believe in the near future we are able to embrace the coming of this new era.
