TWE 125 emma-maple 经典作文(TWE斑竹hncsxj重点推荐)

昨天考的。作文题目很简单,好像在PP中都看到过。但没仔细想过。写的时候倒是很顺手,但很窝火的是,感觉没什么地方可以出彩,发挥不出来。大致照搬考场作文给大家看看,大侠帮我看看能拿几分啊。呜呜~
(12.22  好久没来CD了,最近忙着准备申请材料呢。TWE成绩月初就收到了,汇报一下吧,5.5分,不过总分247,那个心情啊……)



125 Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? All students should be required to study art and music in secondary school. Use specific reasons to support your answer.




When it comes to the issue as to whether students should be required to study art and music in secondary school or not, people are likely to provide various responses. As far as I am concerned, I agree with the statement of the topic. Taking art and music courses provide students tremendous benefits. In this article, I will elaborate my views as follows.





The most pertinent reason for my view is that students could learn more history and culture knowledge by taking these two courses. For example students could know a lot of types of music. They could learn what is symphony and what is Blues music, and could also know the history of the originality of the music. Thus improve their history and culture knowledge.





The second reason that can not be ignored is that attending art and music class could contribute to the aesthetic taste of the students. On the one hand, students could have opportunity to listen the famous movement of classical music, such as Rhapsody in Blues. On the other hand, they could analyze the attributes in different styles of paintings. They could study some painting skills and enjoy the hobby in their spare time. Therefore it could enhance the aesthetic taste of the students to some extent.





Last but not least, students could learn how to cooperate with one another. For example when they take music class, they may practice some times in chorus. Some students are in the major part and the other ones are in the minor part. They have to collaborate perfectly to achieve a fabulous effect. Thus make a favorable contribution to the team spirit of the students.





All in all, based on the three reasons I presented above, I maintained that students should be required to study art and music in secondary school.   我是闷头把想到的点都先搭建起来,好歹有头有尾是篇完整的文章。然后再往里添肉来着。结尾不好,是开始搭的,没来得及润色。还剩几秒的时候赶紧按NEXT,但好像还没按CONFIRM就出来了。害得我语法13-29分。郁闷!!!!


HNCSXJ看法:此文结构清晰,最后ETS评为5.5分。下面的黑体字是归纳的模板。文章的结构经典的五段,大家比较容易学:首段,介绍背景,提出观点;三个理由段;总结。2,3,4段首句为主题句。此外,我的感受是,每段主题句后,基本上用两个例子来说明,主题句和例子之间没有推理论证,而例子之后有个归纳(主题句的重复)这样的好处是,避免了比较难把握的抽象的推理-不论是思想上还是语言上。复杂句,难词基本出现在各段主题句。例子之间用一些连词合成一个复杂句。虽然语言上没有必要如此,可是句子复杂了有利于高分。例子中的难词多是专有名词,比如XX音乐,这样不会错(动词,形容词的会有搭配,语义倾向,语言习惯等问题)。这是一个比较容易模仿的写作方式。我将我自己写的文章和emma-maple比较,我喜欢推理,有时甚至没有例子也可以写一大段。有可能出彩的地方就尽可能出彩,结果在水平不到位的情况下,错误也就多了,考试时反而不见得好。

啊~ 好久没来看,我的帖子竟被设为经典了?呵呵 谢谢版主





顺便多说两句吧。我考过两次TOEFL,第一次作文只得了4分,第二次5.5分,想想进步好像还的确不少。



第一次考是9月11日,题目是159. The twentieth century saw great change. In your opinion, what is one change that should be remembered about the twentieth century? Use specific reasons and details to explain your choice.刚写完时自我感觉良好,结果拿到成绩就傻眼了。静心想想,是自己太掉以轻心了,考前背了模板,练了5篇左右,写完也没改过。






第二次考是11月16日,这次虽然主要时间还是花在了听力上,但是作文是好好准备了一下的。首先在复习阅读、语法、听力的过程中,注意收集精华素材。把觉得很不错,估计作文能用到的单词、句式、和用法都记在一个本子上备用(前提是对作文的题目要有所了解,有针对性的收集)。



大概考前一个月开始练习写作文。根据分类和近期机经中出现的作文题目练了19篇。(个人认为练习作文时间充裕的情况下多多益善,但是时间有限的话不在多,而在精,类别尽可能涵盖全)

1.  先是按时间要求写完一篇,然后开始频繁修改。

2.  翻开之前记录的小本子,想方设法往文章里加出彩的句式,换用单词,改。

3.  从CD上找自己练过别人发的作文贴子,分析别人的思路,和自己的作文做比较,改。

4.  找一些自己觉得需要指点的帖子发在CD上求大侠帮忙修改,虽然贴的没几篇,但感觉很有收获,特别是思路,还有一些意识不到的语法小错误。真是受益匪浅呢。


5.  从网上下载5分6分作文,分析,比较,改。(不看不知道,看了才知道什么才叫好作文,以前自己真是太盲目自信了)


6.  正式考试的时候虽然题目不是自己准备过的,但是脑子里框架已经有了,为节省时间先狂敲模板和自己想到的观点。至少把作文搭出个完整的框架。(这很重要,免得时间不够没有结尾就全都白费了)


7.  然后开始搜肠刮肚开始润色。各种类型的作文事先都得准备单词。比如我这次遇到的这篇,虽然之前没练过,而且写的时候也感觉窝火,因为觉得没什么发挥的空间和出彩的地方。但是平时的积累还是很重要的。我用了一些音乐类单词,什么交响乐、乐章、蓝调音乐、蓝色狂想曲、主声部、辅声部……这些都是临时想出来凑的,但证明还是起到了润色的作用,至少增加了文章例子的说明力度。


8.  键盘敲作文还是利大于弊。我第一次考是手写的,因为听说如果打字系统一秒钟都不会多给你就踢出来,而手写能赢得时间。虽然我手写的确是时间到了考官也没顾上收我的卷子长达两分钟,但是感觉自己并没沾到什么便宜。开始写之前为了避免文章过多涂改,所以整理思路就花了一段时间,一路狂写手发麻,边想边写毕竟有局限,后来临时想到的好东东实在不好加,为了避免涂涂擦擦卷面不整洁最终没写进去。所以第二次考试改为键盘敲。先敲模板搭出完整框架,然后添肉,从容不少。至于打字速度,我的中文打字速度是不用练的,英文打字速度一般,我是边背单词边练打字的,感觉挺有效。





真的很感谢CD,我当时在CD最常泡的也是TWE论坛,得到各位版主的指点和帮助。我的方法很死板,也没有太多心得,希望写的能给大家一点点帮助。

不要紧。 自动保存。



没有按NEXT CONFIRM键可以自动保存,没有问题。但是吃亏在,系统傻瓜地假定你没有结尾,所以作文会先背扣掉一分。我语法13分,按理假定作文满分17分,则得分区间应为13-30,可是我没按CONFIRM,系统给我的区间就是13-29,总分算下来白白丢了三分啊!
