这两句意思有点不一样：

A， that] new xx was related with xx.  修饰的是report ；

E，by which new xx was related with xx. 修饰的是means

 

貌似means by which 长得很像正确答案，LZ这题不一定就错了。第2题短不能说就简单，短的SC很多比长的更难做。长的SC语法点漏洞反而多，容易做。

估计这题还得看句子的具体意思来判断。

因为in her report 的位置不一样，可能改变了原句的逻辑含义。PREP里面有几个类似的“介词结构或时间状语”的位置改变，导致句子意思变化的题目。

朗文上一个nevertheless的例句：

What you said was true but (it was) nevertheless unkind.

nevertheless跟but在某些时候不冲突的。

估计despite 和nevertheless用法类似，可以同时出现。
