选择 economics 还是finance？

看你要干什么了!你的career goal是什么样的,说给大家听听,然后大家再给你建议.

谢谢大家，其实我的career  goal 还是 希望能进一些大公司，或者自己创业，but 我担心的就是 m of finance 的而我没有本科 的background ，是不是会基础不够，或者too weak  呢？

其实FINANCE对数学要求挺高的，你是学物理的，数学应该也是你的强项吧，这是一般本科就读FINANCE的人不可比的，好好利用你的优势吧！

无所谓啊，先把curriculum好好研究一下。

恩，当初想往经济或者金融上转，就是因为想可能我是读物理的，他们还是会考虑入取我。

至于curriculum，我看了，finance 感觉面很广，但应该不是很深的那种，而 economics 面窄一些。

是不是finance 在学习了一后可以主攻一个方向呢，因为我希望自己还是应该有一些强项才行。

其实很多人都羡慕楼主的物理本科呢!唉!当初目光短浅竟然选了金融,早知道申请如此我就填应数或者物理了!郁闷!!!楼主好好珍惜自己的背景啊!

hi, you are excellent in applying finance major,

and I also suggest that the majors of Mathematical Finance or Financial Engineering are very fit your background.

You can try Master of Financial Engineering in CMU. That is a great program. They prefer the math, physics, engineerng and statistics background, not finance. Ridiculous!!!

You can contact some current Chinese students in that program in CMU, I know, they are very nice and insightful. They would give you some very detail and inspiring advices, according to your background. You can first search the Association of Chinese Scholar and Students in CMU, then you can get some contact info, then you can find someone in the major of Engineering.
