求问：四大的corporate valuation service team

想问一下个大神，四大corporate valuation service team，貌似是做build model然后估值的

1. 一般都是什么样的model，为什么样子的金融产品或者企业估值；
2. 他的服务对象和目的是什么呢？
3. 发展前景如何？i.e. 做了几年后，其经验可以帮助跳去哪些地方？

1. Option pricing model, DCF, and some other market approach models.
Some team may perform financial engineering type of work, like derivative pricing models, which I dont really know much about.

2. (1) to support audit team to review tangible/intangible assets valuation during audit season.
    (2) to provide 3rd party valuation opinion of target in M&A or capital raising
    (3) to value PE/Investment Management's portfolio for reporting purpose.


3. For someone who does have the personality, network and the look, he will join Boutique or Middle Market or BB's IBD. Some others went to BB's middle office to practice valuation to support front office.

楼上的回答对头，尤其是第二part，应该就基本是我所知道的valuation team的工作内容了

补充一下，这个team应该有不少人是audit背景的，未来也有可能去corporate做financial analysis和planning等

LOL you are right, they tended to recruit CPAs for this type of roles before, and that's why there were a lot of audit ppl performing valuation; however, in recent years, ppl dont need CPA anymore to issue valuation reports or for promotion, while CFA( you can say ppl with finance backgroud) is more appreciated. I actually asked this question, CPA or CFA, when I was interviewing, and my manager was like....I dont know... cuz I have both, but maybe CFA....then I went speechless.....bhhaha.
