I would answer your question.
Accounting is one of the majors which are considered to be the easiest to find internship in United States. However, on one hand, more and more American companies prefer U.S. students because they don't want to spend money to sponsor international students like us; on the other hand, we are located in Massachusetts, where there locate so many top universities like Harvard, MIT, BC and BU etc. and we are not competent enough to beat them down. Therefore, the situation for international students is not that relaxing as you imagine even though we are in Worcester, a small town in central Massachusetts in our eyes.
As for the data of the employment, you could ask the staff in Career Service Center. According what I have known, most MSA students returned home after graduation of Class 2016 (It refers to the students who entered the Clark in 2014). Many of us, second-year students in MSA program, are also planning to go back China.
But, please remember traditional Chinese proverb: "Where there is a will, there is a way." Once you tried your best and be responsible for yourself, you can handle whatever difficulties you would meet. Good Luck and enjoy your Clark time here! |
