学姐你好，首先感谢你开的这个帖子，实在是讲解的太详尽了，解答了我很多困惑！
我n天前收到了AD，MSA，waive掉了quantative courses，foundamental financial accounting开学后要参加测试在确定我能不能waive掉。我想问的是：
1.waive的标准是什么呀？我大学的成绩还是G？是不是我大学的专业课成绩有点渣所以这个没有直接waive掉。。。
2.那个测试难吗？具体题型有哪些？涉及到哪些范围呢？可以提供一下参考书籍之类的信息吗？

3.另外，有没有牛人1年就修完所有学分的？（只是问下嘿嘿）

I could answer your questions because I'm now the second-year student in MSA program.
1. Beginning from us MSA students entering Clark in fall 2015, each MSA students are eligible to waive the Foundations of Financial Accounting course ONLY by passing the waiver exam (ACCT4101). No exceptions once you were studying accounting outside U.S.
2. The waiver exam is usually held during your orientation. The extents and contents of the exam can be found in the following link: http://www2.clarku.edu/gsom/pdfs/WaiverExamStudyGuide.pdf
Here I suggest you to seriously and carefully prepare for the waiver exam of Foundations of Financial Accounting because the exam actually tests your knowledge of intermediate accounting under US GAAP. If you are not excellent enough in US GAAP, there is no doubt that you would fail. Last year, no one passed the waiver exam among MSA students who participated in the exam.
3. That's a good question. MSA program in Clark University only has 4 years history. I haven't heard anyone who finish the program within only one year. MSA students are required to finish 1 foundation units and 10 credit units. International students are required to select 3 units at least and 5 units at most except for the final semester, so no one can finish the program in only one year theoretically.

I would answer your question.

Accounting is one of the majors which are considered to be the easiest to find internship in United States. However, on one hand, more and more American companies prefer U.S. students because they don't want to spend money to sponsor international students like us; on the other hand, we are located in Massachusetts, where there locate so many top universities like Harvard, MIT, BC and BU etc. and we are not competent enough to beat them down. Therefore, the situation for international students is not that relaxing as you imagine even though we are in Worcester, a small town in central Massachusetts in our eyes.
As for the data of the employment, you could ask the staff in Career Service Center. According what I have known, most MSA students returned home after graduation of Class 2016 (It refers to the students who entered the Clark in 2014). Many of us, second-year students in MSA program, are also planning to go back China.
But, please remember traditional Chinese proverb: "Where there is a will, there is a way." Once you tried your best and be responsible for yourself, you can handle whatever difficulties you would meet. Good Luck and enjoy your Clark time here!

Hi, I would answer your question.

Unfortunately MSA students seldom receive the scholarship. But I believe you could be awarded if you are outstanding enough. E-mail to admission office is a good way to clear your mind.

In addition, I have to tell you that GA position is NOT open to the new students in the first semester. According to United States' Immigrant Policy, international students with F1 Visa are prohibited to participate in any forms of employments in the first semester whatever on-campus or off campus. This information can be told by the International Students and Scholars Office (ISSO) staffs. Therefore, you need to consider other financial aid to assist yourself.
