let me put it this way: if, and only if, you are a person who have enough resources to make your essay perfect after retaking GMAT, then go retake it. unfortunately, most people I know don't fall into that "superman" category. so think twice before you make your decision. please don't get me wrong - by "enough resources", i don't mean quitting your job and focusing on application. somebody succeeded by doing so, but many others didn't. i know a girl who quit her job and retake GMAT several times and finally scored a 760, but she ended up getting nothing. by the way, she graduated from one of those four top schools (tsinghua u, peking u, fudan u, jiaotong u). in my opinion, it is how much energy (not how much time) you put into the application that matters. if you take it really seriously, your efforts will pay off someday. |
