The job market sucked for 02 and 03 grads, but it's definitely picking up since last year. Good timing for class 06 (us) and 07 (your class). Even during the bad days, those who REALLY wanted to stay in US did manage to stay, but of course, most people were not that keen on location or simply wanted to return to China immediately. Now with the much better recruiting situation, the job outlook is pretty good. (Interview slots for 2005 full-time positions at my school increased by 30% at least, according to the career services center.)
As for jobs in US that require green cards, most of them are corporate jobs (i.e. finance/marketing jobs in MNCs). The banks and consulting firms are open to international students, and so are a few of the corporate jobs (1 out of 7-8 perhaps). Of course, the competition is tough, but ayway, we are here to excel in the competition, aren't we?
