The only difference is that the program of columbia is located in the CBS. However, students at the program of stanford are required to take many finance courses from their business school. Also, Stanford's B school has been ranking almost the same as HBS and sometimes even on the top of HBS.

Another sad story is that Financial Ecomomics master students at CBS are excluded from the MBA recruiting process and their resumes are excluded from CBS's website
