Hello,
My tendency would be to lean towards Cornell. In the job market prestige is EVERYTHING. And I don’t know where you heard that it’s very hard to find a job, but it’s something you should check of course. Cornell, although physically very far, is STILL a NY school and has fantastic connections in NYC, which might be ideal for you. I would suggest you a) Do more research on what Chinese students do exactly after Cornell’s program b) if, possible visit both schools. It’s a big change and big investment and if you can “Get on the ground” you will be happier with your choice, with less doubts, no matter what choice you make.
