1. Plan B need to be a plan that is easier than plan A.

2. if you get HEC Paris admission, you have go there directly instead of Bocconi.
if you don't get that offer, you won't be able to apply for this double degree anyway........

谢谢前辈！我昨天收到HEC Paris一年Msc Managerial and Financial Economics的录取通知，想再问一下前辈HEC Paris在香港和伦敦的业界认可程度怎么样？那如果要是回国（大陆）的话，HEC Paris毕业生的主要出路大概是什么状况呀？
真的太谢谢你啦！感觉占位费还挺高的，想更谨慎一些。

It is a top school (just like LSE and other target school) from the London point of view, so if you are applying for any London position, you will be just fighting with other UK / EU top candidate.
Paris is not far from London, so location is not a problem. The only key difference is a France student / UK student visa.....


HEC is for sure less well-known then school like LSE (or other good / top UK school) in far east, but I guess it is fine for those international one.

When comparing a HEC MSc with their GE program, the key difference is the length, and thus internship.

So I think if I am determined to work in Hong Kong or China mainland, I should wait for the outcome of LSE Msc admission. Thank you very much for your advice. As for HEC Paris, I think it is indeed a top business school, but I am not quite sure whether Managerial and Financial Economics will cater to the requirement of an equity researcher job post.

It is just a normal financial & business econ master,  and it is nothing new under the sun.

The degree alone should be enough to get u interviews.

Thank you very much! And does a Msc master in HEC Paris mean that I will never get a chance to pursue for a PhD degree aftermaths? Because I am just not sure whether I am enthusiastic in scientific research, and up to now, I have experience in both financial industry and scientific ressearch. I cannot make up my mind soon.
So if I choose to study HEC Paris, am I still be allowed to pursue PhD degree overseas?
Thank you again for your advice. I am sorry for my unability to figure our my real interest and strengths.

such a applied business nature economics master is not a good preparation for PhD.


P.S. just for example, compare the program structure and course syllbus of a applied professional master (e.g. HEC MSc Managrial & Financial Economimcs) vs a more academics one (e.g. LSE MSc Finance and Economics), and you will know the difference between them.

前辈对不起我又有问题了，巴黎高商一年制的MSc Managerial and Financial Economics和NUS的Financial Engineering该如何选择？同之前一样，职业规划是equity research-portfolio manager，但是大陆行研感觉体系不是很成熟，本来想着去巴黎试试机会的，但是感觉自己的法语不能够达到operational,现在感觉机会渺茫，并且去HK投行的话不会粤语应该也不太可能了吧？越来越感觉对HEC这个选择的困惑。至于NUS，我不排斥量化方向，但是觉得自己不会在量化这个领域做得很优秀（从academic background来看）。
拜托前辈给我一点选择的提示，我已经纠结到找不到考虑方向了。谢谢你！
