which is something to be considered after you firm you career goal

bocconi is the best in italy while escp is the third in france (clear gap after hec &essec)
and bocconi is a target of BB of FO in london but not escp
france is bit better than italy in term of the econ situtation though

我只能知其然而不知其所以然
不过， MIM虽然叫in management 但是实际上是Grande Ecole吧
我总是觉得MIM没翻译好。。。毕竟GE是可以主修Finance的

敬告樓主一句：別見consulting/ibank好pay就想進……首先搞清楚人家是幹啥的……和其之中不同的部門，所做的有啥不同，所要的人有啥不一樣。

targeting both together is really rare, and it is indeed a signal that you knkw nothing about them and thus do have any career / study goal.

You're such an expert in this, very knowledgeable! Is a consulting/IB job in Europe after these masters impossible or just difficult? Also, what is the prospect in China holding masters from these two schools?

Bocconi一直在本地人看来是很好很好的学校，ESCP就不见得了。。。得看人吧
我依旧选ESCP一个是时间拖的长一点。。。最久可以拖4年。。。
另外一个，我就是比较喜欢法国。。。确实是太主观了点

for bocconi, indeed not only the local in Italy, but all over Europe indeed.....they are everyway in Europe

I will say (taking away the school, but only as an international), "known french and find job in france" sounds better than "known italian and find job in italy"...
and I guess this will hold if OP get HEC vs Bocconi.

额，我不是仅仅因为二者好pay啊。。我国内在各种不同行业做过不少实习，不同职能，一直在soul searching和思考自己是谁，相关实习经验也有，对consulting/IB 的规划是经过长久而广泛的考虑的，具体不详述了，所以是有career/study plan的，只是也许还不够成熟。。

highly depends on oneself.........general business + finance stuffs......

if one don't speak the local language, it is near to impossible for front office.
and if one don't have the mathematics, you are out from quant, risk, and etc.
if one don't have the legal background, compliance is not the choice
and someone with half-finance will not be as competitive as those with pure accounting and finance background for those financial modeling role......

well.......operation is possible but boring...and dead-end.

don't forgot that Paris is not really an international, but rather a regional financial center.

好吧。。我其实倒恰恰觉得ESCP时间太长。。耗不起。。各人想法不同~~

you need the time for the language (and for internship) if you want to stay.

if you don't want to be confined within FR, aviod ESCP.
