Let me talk about something about these schools...I don't really know all of them but hopefully I have some helpful insights.
WFU
It is even getting a little bit harder to get a job offers in WFU now. Consider 2 years ago almost everyone in WFU is getting multiple offers from big four, now is not a good timing.....especially given that big four is hiring more chinese candidates. I wouldn't say that WFU's strategy is wrong, but given that they received more than 50 applications with 75/11 scores this, it is nearly impossible to choose candidates with a lower score. But one thing, if you want to go to NYC, WFU will give you the best chance other than Vandy.
WUSTL
WUSTL is a good school. Great rankings, great alumni network...but just one thing...poor locations.....St.Louis is not a big city per se; as far as I know, big four in st.louis only has less than 20 people each for one start class. It is a relatively competitive market but I had heard a lot of people found a job there. The downside of WUSTL is you can hardly go to any other city other than St. Louis.
UMICH
Top ranking, top school, great accounting program, hard to find job. You guys probably have heard about the bidding process during recruiting (if not, you probably need to check it out). UMICH also into high scores, but if you want to find a job in UMICH, you'd better practice your interpersonal skill. For job markets, Detroit has limited chances but you can still go to Chicago or NYC.
MSU
It is a normal school. You can still get a job there but you need to stand out among all chinese candidates. That is something you need to consider if you want to get a job there. I have heard a lot of chinese people found a job there so it is doable.
IUB
It is a good school and a well-known accounting program. It only accept limited number of chinese applicants so makes it even easier to get a job there. Normally more than 80% of chinese there can get a job in US. IUB is not only targeted by big four Indianapolis office, it is also the target school for Chicago office.
UIUC
Well-known school back in China, but hard to find a job here due to huge number of chinese people. UIUC has a larger chinese student population than IUB or UW but equally chances to get a offer as they are all targeted by big four chicago offices (normally each big four will hire 2-3 chinese from each school every year). For UIUC, if you can speak good Japanese, you should go for it b/c ability to speak Japanese will give you a 90% chance to get an offer from a big four in chicago.
GWU
It is a good school in the greater DC area. DC has a lot of opportunities but not a lot from big four (McLean office has too many school choices and they don't hire a lot). If you are interested in some corporate or not-for-profit chances, GWU could probably land you there.
