It is really depressing to get this message in this sunny morning. I submitted the application in Jan.8th, got interviewed in Jan 26th, and was dinged today. Really a hard process experience:   busy when preparing ->  exciting when submitting -> expecting after interviewing --> 555...when being dinged.

Just got a call from my interviewer saying that she felt also very supprised to know that I was dinged for she gave a high rating to me of the interview. But she also said that maybe it is because I applied too late, it will be better to apply in early decision round. Hope future applicants can apply as early as possible. Best wish to other applicants who are still waiting for offers.

Now, I already got admitted by two tier 2 schools: Fisher and Maryland, I am now still waiting for responses from other 2 tier 1 schools.

请问楼主是在北美还是在大陆。我是1月10日提交columbia材料的,但是只接到completed的信息。这么长时间没动静,是不是就意味者希望渺茫了

I am in Shanghai.    Because it is a rolling decision, you should get a invitation letter from school. You can contact school directly.

take it easy! i submitted on 14th of Feb with the status only changed into under review a week ago. I am afraid that a lot of us can not even go that far as you did. sure, it's a pity to miss the target by a smaller margin. but only imagine the damage to confidence of the people in my camp who can not even land an invite of interview.

but i have a feeling which confirmed the arguement on this forum that columbia is not friendly(only to chinese?). the lack of the responsiveness and transparency has hurt its reputation. i feel columbia less attractive to me at the moment with a damaged school personality. yeh, you might say sour grapes, but with so many other sweet ones around, i dont really care...

疙瘩好像确实对中国学生不是太友好。建议大家明年申请的时候一定要早，这样希望才大。（我也被据了...)
