[校友答疑] 中欧MBA2005同学集体回答问题

感谢大家的关心!可是我一直没找到好方法提高口语,因为不在外企,工作中也很少用到。也买了一些书和软件练习,但总觉得效果不明显。我的基础应该是可以的,只是说起来不太流利,尤其是边说边想的时候,朋友们有什么好办法吗?

我的办法就是用英语思考,英语说,不要翻译。开始会比较慢,但是以后就越来越快

今天面试了,group discussion的时候两个老师说可以用中文进行讨论,结果我们一组6个人就用了中文,我想问一下各位学长学姐,小组讨论用中文是否会影响对我们的评分?

有两个疑问,一是申请中欧到底需不需要考托福,二是中欧不要申请学生的作文成绩,是不是就不用考了?(新东方的老师告诉我不用考,在考卷上点next就可以),但是如果你的作文成绩为零分被寄到学校,是不是很难看?再就是ets允许你跳过作文不考吗?

托福成绩不是必须的。不提交对你的申请不会有影响。你说的第二点不是很清楚,中欧的笔试是不考作文的,gmat的awa成绩是必须的,托福的写作好像也没看到官方资料提到过,总体来说,如果参加了托福考试,就要写作文,如果提交一个零分,肯定很难看。

既然面试官说可以用中文,那说明用什么语言讨论不是考评的得分点。我个人认为,小组讨论的目的是看每个人对问题的分析能力和判断能力,另外还考察团队合作以及个人讲演水平。不限制语言的目的是让每个候选人能用不因为语言表达而影响逻辑思维和分析判断。

我建议你还是考一下,考得高自然最好,分数不高,也没关系,反正也不需要。你就当是对自己英语写作的一次摸底吧。

哎,贴得不是很好,不过还可一看。链接如下,但好像要注册了才能看,担心大家看不了呀。(另外,上面有关住宿的费用好像有问题,人民币也用不了这么多。)
