还是不明白D为什么不对?

个人看法:

题目说古迹表面应该有uneven weathering, 而这尊是uniform quality, 所以被怀疑是假的

正确答案可以理解为dealer把原本uneven的洗成了uniform, 给uniform找到了原因,uniform也可以是真的

D说patchy weathering 不能被仿造 就相当于uneven weathering不能被仿造, 只跟前半部分古迹表面应该有什么相关, 没体跟这尊雕像的关系 所以说是leaves the argument unaffected

D无关的原因是:

但是,文中没有说statue的uneven weathering的特点---如:an ancient surface usually has uneven weathering(通常ancient雕塑是有风化,但是这不是指"现在讨论的statue"), whereas the surface of this statue (这才是"现在讨论的statue"的特点---它有uniform quality)has the uniform quality characteristically produced by a chemical bath used by forgers to imitate a weathered surface. ----文中指出了statue的"uniform quality"的特点----推出statue是赝品,没有谈及"uneven weathering"

所以,ETS:Since the statue in question does not have uneven weathering,---文中没有说它有uneven weathering.---所以无关.
