这种情况下,一定要选DUKE. 因为CONSULTING很注重学校的排名.

DUKE比EMORY的排名要高的多. 事实上,CONSULTING不是学校里

的一个专业,只是将来工作的一个选择. 可以做MARKETING的CONSULTING,

也可以做MANAGEMENT的CONSULTING, 或者FINANCE的CONSULTING.

所以,不存在哪个学校的CONSULTING强的问题,只有学校排名的问题.

many of duke's graduates go to consulting company. you can check it out at duke's job placement analysis report. on the brochure i received from duke, you can find that quite a few of them get into companies such as boston consulting, bain etc. ,and what's more, some of them are black people. duke is sure the place to go.

btw, if you are really interested in consulting, actually INSEAD (in france) is the ideal place

duke is great, but emory is not bad.

according to happypig's case, you should choose emory.

you know,  you will spend more money than you expected, so whole scolarship will make you more happier in school,  otherwise you must stand the poor living, I think it is difficult to everybody, if you can avoid it, why not?

Emory是rounding的，所以合适了的就会给offer。

in my opinion, for anyone who is admitted by top schools, if his or her gmat is also high enough, it is very likely to get the full or nearly full scholarship from many second tier schools.

for them, how to choose one over the other seems not to be a problem.

Congrats. If you plan to work in States a couple of years aft MBA, USD100,000 is not a concern any more, since mostlikely you could clear the debt, if admitted in a reputable Biz-school such as Duke.

Of course, if you have tough time in raising sufficient fund for visa application, Emory could come in as a back-up plan.

Just want to remind that it would be extremely difficult, esp. now, to apply visa using I-20 from one school and try to transfter to another school after you arrive at US. You have to make up your mind before all the visa things. Good luck!

Seems everybody has different view over this issue....

I00,000USD is huge for me, even though i am confident that if i work in the States, I will finally pay off, but i will have to take the huge burden with me at least for 4~5years, i guess?

I love the atmosphere in duke, and many friends have strongly recommended Duke. But i am not so ambitious and i just want to earn some education, and have a career that i like.

Emory is generous, i just dont know how reputable is Emory in the States. Anyone has any idea?

I remember one of Duke alumni said, the best choice for any other people might not be the most suitable choice for you.

i am so lost...
