Position: I would argue that companies should allow their employees to know about their performance evaluation so that they can improve their performance to better meet their companies’ expectations.

A. When personnel files are kept away from employees, these files mean no more than waste paper for the employees.

B. On the contrary, personnel files can be used as effective incentives to motivate employees to improve their performance.

C. Admittedly, there is no need to keep the names of information suppliers on the personnel files.

讨论你在何种程度上赞成或不赞成上述观点。从你自身的经验,观察和阅读给出相关的原因and/or例子来支持你的观点。

Ans:I agree with the statement.

1)          It is an inevitable trend to the whole world and if we keep thinking in a constraint perspective,we will loss chance to compete with others.

2)          Take EU for example, people in EU,no matter what nationality are they, they are in one union and they suffer the same difficulties and gain the same benefit,so they should take the other countries’ perspective into consideration.

3)          As long as the American stock market fell, almost all the other countries fell, too.

4)          Like the famous ”butterfly effect” what we do may affect enormously on others and we can hardly figure out,so we should bear in mind that we have to be a world citizen not a country citizen.

Position: Our roles as national citizens are not necessarily incompatible with our rules as world citizens.

A. People are naturally more concerned with their national interests.

B. It is true that conflicts often arise between our commitment to national interests and that to international welfare.

C. However, we should see both the need for and the possibility of realizing and consciously coordinating our national citizenship and our international citizenship.

A. Workers should not and are unable to be solely responsible for their unemployment due to changes in technology and market demand.

C. Admittedly, it is imperative to encourage workers to make personal efforts to adjust themselves to the changing job market.

130. (黄金80题)
“When judging the qualifications of potential employees, business employers should rely primarily on objective information, such as a candidate’s résumé and education. Personal interviews are much too subjective and are therefore not a valid basis on which to judge a person’s qualifications for a job.”

Discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the opinion stated above. Support your views with reasons and/or examples from your own experience, observations, or reading.

Position: Experienced employers would base their judgment on both the candidates’ objective information and their personal performance in interviews.
A. No one can deny the importance of objective information when evaluating the qualification of potential employees.
B. However, it would be native to overlook the advantages of personal interviews in helping interviewers know more directly the personality and ability of potential employees.
C. A wise boss would combine both ways when deciding whether to hire a potential employees.

9.Employees should keep their private lives and personal activities as separate as possible from the workplace.

9. “雇员应该保持他们的私人生活和个人行为尽量远离工作场所。”(关于雇员)
讨论你在何种程度上赞成或不赞成上述观点。从你自身的经验,观察和阅读给出相关的原因and/or例子来支持你的观点。

(excellent)

Agree: It influences the qualities of workplace and mentalities of employees and decreases work efficiency.
ex1. Listening music in the workplace, it makes them abstractedly.
ex2. Talking private businesses, it decreases achieved percentages of scheduled progress.
ex3. Some employees do individual businesses in the workplace, like stock exchange.
ex4. To work lately and to leave early are bad habits.

Disagree: Employees work with no stress can increase work efficiency.
ex1. Listening music in the workplace, it relaxes their minds.
ex2. Talking private businesses, it makes cooperators closely.
ex3. Employees can use flexibly their time to decrease working stress.
ex4. It can take care of work and life.

Ans: Agree
1.in terms of working efficiency, if people keep their private lives and personal activities from the workplace, they would more concentrate on their work.
2.in terms of the quality of private lives, if employees keep the private lives from the workplace, they would have better personal lives. Because their private lives will not disturb by their work.

Part I: Analysis of Issue: Structure and Template

Structure is the most important part of your essay. Your essay must be written in a standard format with the standard logical transitions. The E-rater will scan your essay to identify if it has a standard structure.
· Introduction/Conclusion- These elements will provide the structure for your essay and keep you on track.
· Number of Paragraphs. To satisfy the E-rater, your essay should be 4 to 5 paragraphs: an introduction, a conclusion, and three "body" paragraphs. Each paragraph should have 2 to 5 sentences (total essay about 300-400 words).

Note: You should skip a line between paragraphs since the TAB key does not function in the essay section.

Essay Template
The template is just a guideline. You do not have to adhere to it. Often you will have to make
changes to suit your argument.
· The numbers of sentences indicated for each paragraph is a guideline that varies depending on how much content you have.
· The transitional phrases we use in the Template are intentionally simplistic. This is not a

simple approach where you can "fill-in-the-blanks." Flesh out the template somewhat and use it as a guideline to write a disciplined and focused essay.

Template
1) Introductory Paragraph (2-4 sentences)
Make sure to keep your introductory paragraph concise, strong and effective.
What the introductory paragraph should accomplish:
· Explain the issue (briefly).
· Show that you understand the full complexities of the issue (for example, by recognizing competing interests or various factors).
· State your position on the issue (without the details yet).
Sample template for introductory paragraph (2 sentences):
a) Whether ________________________ depends on _____________________.
b) (insert your opinion), __________________________.

2) First Body Paragraph (3-5 sentences)
Begin to develop your position with your most important reason. Use one or two examples to back up

your main point:
a) The chief reason for my view is ___________________________________.

b) For example, ____________________________________.
c) Moreover, ______________________________.
d) Finally, ________________________.

3) Second Body Paragraph
Expand your position with a "secondary" reason. Support your rationale further with at least one

example.
· State your second reason (one only).
· Provide rationale and/or evidence to support it.

Here's a sample template for the second body paragraph that accomplishes these objectives:
a) Another reason for my view is_____________________________.
b) Specifically,________________.
c) The result is,__________________.

4) Optional Third Body Paragraph
In this paragraph (optional) you acknowledge a competing viewpoint or counter-argument (and rationale and/or examples that support it), and then provide rebuttals to further support your

position. In this paragraph you walk a tightrope, you must acknowledge the counter-argument, but yet deny it immediately in the next sentence and use that denial to strengthen your own argument.

· Acknowledge a different viewpoint or a counter-argument.
· Provide rationale and/or examples that support it.
· Provide a rebuttal.
Here's a sample template for the third body paragraph that accomplishes the objectives indicated above:

a) Some might argue,_____________________________.
b) Yet,____________________
c) Others might cite, __________________.
d) However,_____________________.

5) Conclusion Paragraph
In this paragraph you write a summary of your position in 1 to 3 sentences:
· State the thrust of your position.
· Restate the main points from the body of your essay.
The concluding paragraph is not the place for new information or reasons. It is not a place to draw

new conclusions.
a) In sum, I concur that ________________________.
b) However,_________________; on the whole______________.
