hey, both guys above.

i think that darden is very responsive and quick. they will invite the guys they are interested in as soon as possible. i remember that i got the interview invitation only a few days after i sumbit the application and then received both the email and mail of admission only a few days after interview. i believe that few school can be so quick.

my interview is held in shanghai with a very kind and experienced male alumni. so it is very strange that they said they did not have any alumni. i guess that it is because you are too late and all their limited alumni have already had interviews with applicants. if so, u may have to do the telephone interview.

anyway, dont be depressed. when i applied for unc, i also do the phone interview. i did not do any mock before. the only thing u need is to trust yourself and be confident. i guess every applicants are potential successors and so wont doubt your communication ability, the most basic ability in the business world. meanwhile, americans are actually more friendly than chinese, i feel, and they are very hot and friendly. i remember the unc phone interivewer has never challenged me and would sometimes say some jokes and laugh together with me, which i really had such a good time over the phone.

so good luck, both guys above! if you believe in yourself, no one will doubt you!

I have received mail from school telling me that alumni will directly contact me to accept or deny the interview, so I am still waiting for the mail from that appointed one. thanks for your sharing. would you pls tell me more about your interview?

I received the mail from darden telling the status has been changed, so I check through online system and it changed to pending alumni interview. I think you will get news later. good luck to you!

actually unlike what the usual threads were saying, i am a little challenged by the interview officer although i admit that he is really a nice and friendly guy.

he is a sales manager and really appreciated much the other knowledge he learnt from darden. since my focus is investment banking, he tested my professional knowledge. so after all it proved that you would need the school and i was a little embarrassed by my own knowledge. besides, he also challenged my age and thought that four years are rather limited.

i was challenged and embarrassed but i did not feel any uncomfortable since i am a daring girl and since he is a nice guy. actually i only felt a little worried about his comments about my age but you see the offer soon came and i even were not fully prepared.

congratulations. long time no see my own threads. for the financial aid, u can try to contact Larry Muller, the financial aid director, or Amanda Mills, his assistant. both are nice guys and very quick responsive. what i appreciate most about darden is that everyone is so kind and responsive to you. no matter what questions you have, they will immediately give u a reply. is it amazing? good luck!
