Your best bet is to ask current PSU students in your program about job opportunities and specifically, international student opportunities. I can't stress enough about the importance of the location, the problem is that State college is TOO REMOTE. It's seriously in the middle of nowhere and that's not good at all - you'll have a much, much local student body who will be very conservative. I urge you to research as much as you can (not asking questions here but approach school's admission team/alumni/students).

We have a similar background and I was able to get in a top ranked school, that's why I thought you might want to re-apply... feel free to contact me.

I totally agree with you about the imporatance of location, however, I think Chapel Hill isn't significantly better than Penn State. The only advantage it has is it's close to Research Triangle of NC.

I would say go with Penn State and LZ can use the significant savings to network extensively around the US, let alone the strength and alumni network of Penn State in SCM. LZ should have much better employment prospect overall if LZ wants to stay in SCM post-MBA.

Super solid points. My wife went to UNC so intend to agree with you - her classmates are mostly regional students who tend to stay local.

That's why I didn't recommend neither school and was hoping LZ can get into a higher ranked school, the hardware is there probably need better execution.

But I agree - if LZ must choose one, PSU gets more vote because of the free ride.

我会选PSU，经济上好很多，而且校友多。UNC就是排名好一些，其他没什么，也PK不过Duke，多花好几万刀真心不值。

如果LZ的职业目标非常的focus在供应链的话, PSU确实很好。但很多人进入MBA后职业目标会发生变化的，如果LZ还想再探索一下其他的领域的话,UNC能够给更多的机会。

我就是PSU毕业的，虽然不是MBA Program。。。
感觉PSU在汽车方面和企业的关系还是不错的，当年学校还组织参观过丰田西弗吉尼亚的Facility,学Lean Manufacturing
