对于JHU，大家都有什么话想说呢吗，在这里尽情抒发吧

ms in marketing今年招90个，大部分都是国际生，然后一年的项目不能延长，课程比较intensive，可能实习之类的都不太有时间~我面试了解到的这么一点点

For MSF mainly.
1. 人數太多, 其他跟不上的代價是, 會給人一個milking $$ from student from third country by leveraging the overall reputation of the university, but not the quality of education that provided.
2. 還有的問題是, full-time/part-time, 和校區之間不能轉換, 非常不靈活
3. 一如大部份的MSF, 課程沒啥難度, especially for those with finance in UG, 學不到甚麼master level stuffs, 說到底是CFA preparation class.

and more importantly, especially for those want to work in US or other developed countries:
4. JHU is not a named school in banking and finance. Neither a target for undergraduate nor MBA.
5. non-transpent faculty: I cannot find the detailed publishcation and background of the teachers & professors, but only a very brief video/short paragraph introduction. 國際慣例都是有details about the faculty, 這樣的introduction會令人覺得他的教授水平很弱.
6. Elective課極少 - 8 選 6 !?


簡單來說就是一個買學位的好地方.
買, 不是說有錢就行, 只是錢是最大的factor of getting the degree; one still have to study, but not that much when compared to other similar program.

一個program新, 本身問題不大, 畢竟有心提升quality的話, as time pass, problem will be solved as experience is gained.
但是個人就不太相信有心提升quality的話, 會在這樣一個early stage擴招.......硬件易辦, 軟件難升.....

還有的是, 要買趁早, 剛擴招頭兩年, 回國時那overall reputation還可以多用.
多兩三年, 當HR見過的sample size越來越大, 就會知道是甚麼的一回事了.


P.S. 還有的就是美國top U 根本是沒有MSF的(excluding MIT).......一個絕大多數一流院校都不開設的學位, 代表著甚麼呢? 就是說美國人自己根本不怎看重MSF (that's a new stuffs to US anyway), 人家finance官正的進修路徑都是MBA - 那為啥要自己進貢給二/三/...流學校讀一個人家不重視的學位呢? This is exactly the reason why MSF = Chinese class....
還有就是, 只有二/三/.... 流的學校, 為了財源(and other reasons)才開設MSF的 - 我還好像沒見過哪家的MSF是business school的flagship program.

唯一是for回國用 - 美帝留學, 金融, 研究生. 說穿了就是鍍金的玩意, 混個學位好找工作.
不過如果一流院校是鍍金, 二流是鍍銀, 那MSF鍍出來的就不是銀就是銅, or even after了.
