Hi Richard, I am a current student of Class06 of Goizueta Business School of Emory Univ. Great to know your interest in Emory and good luck for the coming competing offers! I would be more than happy if I can be of more help in the coming days. As you know, finding marketing interns is a bit harder than interns for either IB or corperate finance. But there are opportunities for Chinese students with marketing concentration. Since I am not a marketing guy, I don't know too much about interns for marekting. As far as I know, last year, interns for Chinese students with marketing concentration included Coca-cola, some NGO and some other companies. (Really sorry for my ignorance about the internships for marketing.) As for this year, since interviews for marketing positions don't commence this early, so far as I know people just handed in their resumes. DuPont just conducted its interviews today and I think surely there will be more companies on the way. Other possible interns for marketing guys may lie in consulting firms. McKinsey, Bain, BCG, AT Kearney, Deloitte, Adjoined Consulting, Booz Allen Hamilton, etc. are all recruiting interns on campus and one of my classmates from Shanghai already got invitation from Bain, AT, Deloitte and Adjoined. For your last question, there are currently 9 students are form Chinese Mainland, 4 of us are of marketing concentration. Generally speaking, IB and consulting firms are more open to international students. Hope this may help a little. |
