答案是A, " it left a lot to be desired." 的意思是不是那个男的很向往，很喜欢Central Mountain ，如果是，那他为什么不推荐那个女的去呢？

it left a lot to be desired：（字面意思）留下好多东西去向往，说明在Central Mountain 没有得到他向往的东西，言下之意就是Central Mountain 不好！不建议去啊！

The interpretion from Longman Dictionary of contemporary English (2003):

leave a lot/something/much to be desired = to be very unsatisfactory
Example:  Inspectors say health and safety procedures at the factory leave a lot to be desired.

支持楼上的解释，ＬＥＦＴ也有失去的意思，既然是失去向往，所以说不建议去呀
