I studied in HKUST, a school didnt adopt the GPA system. We used a system called CGA instead, and my grades only got me to second upper, not first honor. So, as you can see, my GPA/CGA is not impressive at all.
I politely disagree that academic success is a over-riding factor. If you have read the interview with Rod Garcier, the admission director, you will find out that it is only one of the nine aspect they look into. And GMAT obviously counts as an academic success. And I understand that it is a more tangible aspect to talk about than leadership potential or work success, so it may yield the impression of its dominance. |
