Do you agree or not agree? Technologydesign to make our life simple actually makes our life more complicated.
Perhaps no issue is as significant to oursociety as technology. Despite various response people have on the topicconcerning the issue regarding how technology affects our life, I given thechance, prefer to endorse that technology truly makes our life more complicated.
To begin with, the improvement of theinternet makes people feel tired. With all kinds of information every day, wecannot have enough time for other things, like reading or studying. The exampleof me matches my point perfectly-I remember when I was young, the computer werenot so common like today and I could not play game or watch movies online. Sowhile I was at home and was boring, I would reading some interesting books, which really helps me after I grow up. But now, Internet has taken almost everyday of my life. News, movies, and even my papers should be finished bycomputer. Hardly can I imagine my life without computer. But looking at thecomputer all day makes me feel really tired. Instead, I would prefer to spend moretime to go out and do some sports.
Besides, the innovation of cell phone makesour life complicated. It is true that people can find others convenient throughcell phone, but a great amount of phone calls and text massages always makepeople feel annoyed. According tothe National Statistic magazine's report, the latest result of questionnaireconcerning what people think about the cell phone indicates that the number ofpeople prefer to close their phone when they are free let that of people whothink otherwise in margin of 30 percent, with a margin of error of 5 percentplus or minus. Therefore, we can see that cell phone is making a negetive effecton our life which we cannot neglect.
Granted, technology surely makes our lifecomfortable. For instance, due to the improvement of transportations, we cantravel to places far away within a few hours and the earth is getting smaller. However, my answer to this problem is that it hinges on our own. In practice, even ifthe transports are convenient, our environment is suffering from greatpollution and the global warming has been a serious issue. So the idea thattechnology makes our life complicated should be condone rather than condemnedwhile many of us still informed, poorly informed or misinformed about thefactors above.
In a nutshell, It is arguable that technologymakes life complicated. After rumaniting over all the factors, there will be no challenge too great or no mission too hard on the way to judge the technology development. If anyone who still wonder the effect of the technology, if anyonewho still doubt whether the technology harms our life, if anyone who still questionabout the damage, this passage is the answer. |
