决定考托福是大概一个月之前，本人上学期参加了一个交换生项目之后就立志要再回到那个学校念书。刚刚接触托福没多久，看到论坛里许多大牛的范文希望通过自己的付出能提高写作的水平吧！第一次考T的日子定在6.28，希望大家能够多拍我的砖，我知道我刚开始写应该很一般，但是我会加油的！

今天是第一次写托福作文，写了差不多一个小时才勉强完成，感觉自己的想法还是不够成熟和完善，希望能够得到大家的指点，谢谢！

3.20日独立作文
The most important thing people learnt is from families.

A person, from birth to death, may learn lots of important things on there whole life. For example, to gain the ability to explore the world when he/she was a child, and then go to kindergarten to learn how to get along with other students. As a person grow elder, he/she may face with a lot of problems that have to tackle with. A proper guidance from the external seems indispensable for the person, since the good guidance may have a very critical impact on this person. There are many precious advices from predecessors like teachers, parents, social society and so on. Among that, in my opinion, the guidance given by families is the most important one, which is regarded as the most important thing people learnt.
Firstly, we may learn a lot of things in our individual life. When we old enough to go to school, teachers pass the knowledge to us which broad our horizon academically. Math builds up the logic system in our brain then guides us to think systematically, and physics explains some natural phenomenon, then biochemistry helps us to realize our physical body’s function system. When we graduate in school and then work in company, the manager tells us how to conduct the tasks or how to work corporately with the colleagues. When we involve in some social activities, we learn how to act properly in a particular situation. But how can a person be a mature adult from a child who grow up step by step? I think the guidance come from families is a fundamental factor which lead a person from childish to mature.
When a new born infant come to this world, he begins to learn this new world, then the guidance given by their parents is the first instruction to explore his new life. The child takes their parents as his role model in his lives,and he may imitate the behaviors done by his parents, which is a kind of instinct. Since the parents is the persons that he trusts when he come to this world. And when the child grow older, he encounters more complex problems and need to tackle with. Although his parents may not know too much about the academic knowledge, but they learn many lessons from their own lives since they have experienced a lot more than a child, and they provide the guidance derive from their own experience.
The family also impact the person mentally in many occasion, thus the personal characteristic builds up then. And this is regarded as a kind of unconsciously influence in my mind. A person may be a modest and generous one , but some are selfish and negative. I attribute this consequence to the influence by family. If the person’s parents set a negative image to him. He may follow it unconsciously day by day and eventually be a negative one. So how can a person become a mature and positive one when he grow up, the guidance given by families is the most important thing in a person’s life.

3.21独立作文Teaching is a harder work in the past than today.

Teaching and education affairs are prevalent topic that discussed among people continuously from time to time, since the quality of teaching may have a long-term impact on not only the knowledge they absorb, but also the view of life in the educated people. Several decades witness the development of teaching, in my opinion , I hold that teaching task is more difficult for educators in the past than today.

Firstly, it’s more convenient for teaching. Within the range of information-explosion era, there are lots of means that we may grab knowledge from. Whenever we want and wherever we are in modern city, there are almost internet available .We can use computer or mobile phone to access the education resource. By this way , it’s possible for student and teachers to link together , to tackle with the academic problem. What’s more , the advanced teaching facilities are equipped in school , so it’s more convenient for teachers to demonstrate the thought in there mind than in the past. After the class, if student feel confused about some problem, they can easily find the solution from there classmate or online. On my own experience, in the past ,lecturers may spend a lot of time writing on the blackboard, but now they can utilize the projector to show the powerpoint easily.

Academic issues have been developed rapidly these year by lots of hard-working educator and researchers. They devote themselves to the development of teaching . By now ,there are many academic branches developed maturely. For example in physics subject, in the past ,people assure that the velocity of objects falling down from the height is different because the weight determine the gravity force. Until Newton found out that the weight of objects has nothing to do with the velocity when falling down did public realized that what they took for granted is totally wrong. Now many theories we are learning today is almost reliable and we can avoid detour during the teaching process.

In addition, nowadays teaching is not just sitting in the classroom and listen adsorb the information that teachers convey. Students may get benefits from the diversity of teaching forms. For example, society and school creative many opportunities for students to enhance their knowledge learnt in class. They can not only visit the manufacturing factory if they want to be an engineer in their perspective then raise the interest in their mind, but also they can take part in the firm to do some internship like a regular employee, which contributes a lot in the path of their future career. Take my experience for example, the college assign us to take part in the internship in a real automobile industry, which really give me a chance to think seriously how I can apply my knowledge to the real task.


Finally, basing on the points I provide, we can conclude that teaching nowadays is easier compared to the past which attribute to the rapid development of our society, which makes teachers to teach more effectively.

3.25综合 TPO12

The professor raise the question that the evidence or speculation mentioned in the passage do not necessarily prove that the recent portrait of a teenage girl is Jane Austen. Here are the opinions professor provides:
First, it was until Jane Austen have been dead for almost 70 years old did her family provide the portrait and assure that is a image of Jane. What's more, none of them have seen Jane themselves so they cannot confirm the person in the portrait is Jane. This is not convincing, though the family gave permission to use this portrait as an illustration.
Second, Jane Austen's family is a large one, and according to the professor, Jane had some sisters is of the her ages.And they look similar, so it's hard to confirm that the portrait is Jane. It's possible that this portrait might be one of her cousins'.
Third, the style of this portrait is not match Jane's age. According to the professor, he background of the portrait is a campus scene reflect the date this portrait might be taken. If the person in the portrait is Jane, she should be older than the one in the portrait.
Above all, the professor provides his arguments against to the reading passage.
