Speaker
The father and the daughter took 15 photos in one place in New York. They take one photo each year.
When the daughter told her father the feeling when she was 5 years old standing in front of a toy store, and
now she just pay attention to the universities of NY.
The father finally understand why they take those photos--to memory.
1'09
The official annouced that the average American works 8.8 hours every day.
but how we can know how many hours we work a day can be most efficient?
1'45
How dose 8 hours a day comes out?
A guy who named RO let people work no more than 8 hours a day, and then it became a standard.
(successful example:Ford)
all those examples show us it is scientific to adopt 8 hours a day.
1'55
try to focus on managing your energy instead of your working hours.
4 questions about energy: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.
basic understanding: human can focus on one task about 90 minutes, and then they should have about 10 mintues to rest.
1'49
2 steps that our brain uses to focus on something:1. sensitivity enhancement 2. efficient selection
FA: 1 task, can be distracted from what's important.
FB: many tasks, easy to distract and combine the actual tasks with distractors.
Conclusion:1. don't to several tasks together. 2. reduce distractors.
2'09
4 tips about how to improve work day
1.Manually increase the relevance of a taskverriding attention system, and adding deadline with reward.
2.Split your day into 90 min windows: don't focus on how many hours you work in a day, try to divide it into several 90 minutes.
3.Plan your rest so actually rest: don't forget how to rest.
4.Zero notifications: turn off every digital elements which will affect your attention.
6'49
main idea:the revisionists of conglomerate theory are performing a valuable public service.
but it does not can guarantee every countries can success.

--speaker 很棒的演讲。让我想起一个NY的摄影师,专门拍摄陌生人和他们的小故事,很感人。我也喜欢拍照记录生活,so keep on creating your life.

The passgae talks about a father and his daughter took pictures everyear on every trip of their family. He thinks the spot is a way to create memories, which is the best thing in one's life. The photos not only shows the physical development of them, but also record the memories and help them to reflect more one their lifes.

1. 1'24
Official data shows that US employees work average 8.8 hours daily, and it seems that no relationship between work hours and efficiency.
2. 1'42
why we have 8 hours working policy? In industrial revolution,Robert argued for 8 hours work under long working hours to maximize output. Later, Ford Moto Co. implemented the 8 hours and doubled payment, which surpringly doubled profitability and other co.s follow it.
3.1'48
What matters is energy, but not how many hours you work. According to the cycle, the most efficient working way is to focus on tasks every 90 mins and take breaks during the intervals.
4.2'00
The key for a productive day is focus. There two steps for our brain to work, and A helps us to focus on one task exclusively, and B focuses on multi task and easy to be distracted.
5. 2'06
Four tips on how to get work down more efficiently: add your own deadline and reward system. 1)Split your task into small tasks for every 90 mins, then you have 4,5 tasks on hand. 2)plan how to rest 3)turn off your elecotronic devices 4) temperatures and lighting influence prodoctivity

1'26"  More work time does not correspond to more efficiency.

2'58"  History of working 8 hours per day.

2'44"  Manage your energy: ultradian cycle--- get things done in 90 minutes session.

2'57"  The core of productive day: focus

5'13"  4 tips of focus

13'01"  Main idea: Conglomerate is thriving and well adapted.
Though academics predited that conglomerate was going to decline, practice is that conglomerates continue to thrive everywhere.
Conglomerates are not transient phenomena. Conglomerates succeed not only in emerging world but also in rich world.
Conglomerates have some advantages that focused companies lack: cross-pollinate idea and cross-subsidise risky ventures.

1. In order to optimize people's happiness, the author plan to research that speeding how many hours in work is the most suitable for people.
2. Working 8 hours a day is not a scientific result, it only comes from an old people with several  experiences, who want to increase his output.
3. Manage your energy, not your time. People cannot work as machines. Machines work lineal, while people work cyclically. We have to take a rest about 20 minutes after 90 minutes' work.
00:03:19.70
4. When it comes to focus, a research found that our brain can separate distrators when
we just focus on one thing, and if we are multitasking, our brain will combine the distractor information.
00:02:30.65
5.-separate your work to 90 minutes, not work for 8,9 or 10 hours.
-plan to rest, and if you have a chance, do actually rest
-0 notification

00:04:47.03
T:conglomerates are effective or not
-C is bad for stockmarkets, companies even nations.
-C are the heart of Asian companies. Revenue increases when conglomerates.
-we cannot guarantee that every dodo will become a phoenix.
