I got a mail from IMD EMBA program yesterday, saying I was considered more suitable for its EMBA program by a lady from its MBA program. I met and talked with this lady last november in Shanghai. I am now thinking to apply for its full- time program (preparing to take the GMAT soon). I met the guy from EMBA program late last afternoon and he introduced me the EMBA program. I am now a little confused: does it a sign that the chance is less for the full time program application? My background: 6yrs. trading (state-owned company), 6 yrs. sales management for two mid-sized Switzerland company (manufacture JV in China), and 2 yrs. own business. I had only 2 yrs. experience in college.
Hi Goodwish,
I don't think that it's a sign of less opportunity in full time program. They just thought that you are more suitable for EMBA given your background.
It's up to you to decide which one is more suitable for you, you can consider the following factors: the classmate profile, the future career path after graduation, your current career path, opportunity cost and return on investment etc.
Think it over, esp. for people like you who have been working for relatively longer time.
Good luck to your decision and let us know if you have any further questions! |
