Hi imd-mba:

how many candidates enroll to IMD MBA program directly for main land China

in recent years? I have heard that only 1-3 peers every year. It is so small

a number that cause many people quit for the game.Could you provide the accurate information and do analyse for next year's forecast?

Five from Mainland China this year. One from Beijing, three from Shanghai and one from Guanghzou. IMD is trying to get more asian applications now.

thanks for your feedback! Do all of them conduct their Interview in SH before R2?

I plan to arrange interview in IMD campus for the reason:

a. want to identify IMD community

b. I can only catch up the third round( June 1)

If it is a big disadvantage to apply after the R2( April 1)?

I don't think so.  Four of us joined the SH interview. One was admitted in the third round.

Does the IMD MBA program last for one year? How much do you pay for your study for the IMD MBA program?

I got the addmissiom offer form University of St. Gallen for the one year MBA of 2006. I need to spend about 65,000 CHF. Do you think it is worthwhile to attend the program?

in addition, it is very difficult to get work permit in switzerland, how can we overcome this difficulty and find a job there? can you tell us about your plan?thanks.

我不知道在瑞士找工作如何，我的朋友现在我的睡袋睡着，他读完MBA被德国奔驰总部要去，但劳工部没有批下来，上回麦德龙想要他，也没有批下来，德国就这样，其实工作不难，因为和中国来往多，就是劳工许可拿不下。

Hi, the IMD mba will be a 10 month program (Jan-Nov).  the cost will be 75K for tuition and ~ 30K for living expenses.  two 25K CHF scholarships are availbale for Chinese.

decent chances to land a euro job for chinese MBAs from IMD, considering the many success stories before.  again, its always depends... on how attractive you-as-a-product.

I can not really comment on the St Gallen MBA (only 2 months being in Switzerland and did not go far beyond IMD and my own small apratment).
