"Namely" must be used either before a noun or before a noun phrase/clause.这个是什么意思啊,noun clause是指的是一个名字的定语从句吗 谢谢

Namely(=that is to say, along with)副词,后面不能直接加句子。
(1)        补充说明就近的名词成分:The other change, namely the increase in electronic equipment, has slowed down
(2)        补充说明主语: One group of people seems to the forgotten, namely pensioners.
(3)        Namely +that从句: 解释前面的名词成分
  EX: That same fraternal twins resemble each other greatly while others look quite dissimilar highlights an interesting and often overlooked feature of fraternal-twin pairs, namely that they very considerably on a spectrum of genetic relatedness.
