这里有人申请rochester吗？之前跟一个教授还联系得挺好的，他说：Usually, we do not assign supervisors until the end of the first year or so, but I would definitely consider being yours.
之后也有过四五次邮件来往。

可是我看别人都有面试了，我都没有消息。是不是没戏了？其他人有什么消息的吗？

I feel sorry for you. If you are talking about Godes, then I think there is nothing can be done to change the decision. I thought he was in the committee or at least he had the most important decision vote. It should be like that...But there is no big difference between UMD and TAMU I think. Good luck with your application to the real top schools! You can definetely aim higher.

好吧，不过看他的态度他是很想招我进来的，所以我不太理解具体的流程是什么。anyway, 不管了，我唯一的硬伤是GRE分数不是特别高，也许他们家很在乎这个吧

老师的回信不能当真的。如果他不在committee里面是没有用的。

一般都是应该联系谁（小米？教授？）能及时知道自己有没进shortlist 的？

只有项目的director吧，一般如果没收到面试肯定是没进shortlist，直接move on就行了

提供一点信息吧.UMD问小秘的话,她会说shortlist她还没有呢.确实一般是二月中旬才有.并且她不建议问教授，因为教授反不反感是撞运气的事。虽然说可能shortlist已经出来了，但是最后shortlist上的人都被其他学校要了的可能性并不是没有。总结一下就是耐心的等待是最好的方案，多看看可能性大的program的资料，研究一下老师的最新的文章，有益无害。相信好消息总会有的，并且时刻准备着！

谢谢！怎么才能知道谁是项目，特别Marketing方向的director 呢？很多学校网页只有整个phd program 的director 。。

你就关注版上的信息就好了，顺便刷刷urch和gradcafe，我一般一有消息第一时间就报出来，不知道其他人愿不愿意分享一下信息。感觉有些时候我们中国人总喜欢藏着掖着不好
