When I was at the high school, I wanted to put the third pierced ear on the left-side ear to show my distinctiveness and rebelliousness. I remember I argued with my mom when she disapproved my plan and contended that I belong to a new generation with different rules of the society, whereas my mom is representative of old generation with old and outdated values. Now, I get married and have a two-year-old boy, when I consider about the rules of the whole societies, my pointview is there are some rules that young people should follow and obey. These rules are not strict but are essential for all the young people.
To begin with, young people should respect the health and sanctity of their own body, mind and spirit through healthful living. Young people today have more accesses to approach different information and resources through Internet, while some of those things are not suitable for young people, such as violence films and any photos or videos involved in nudity. Because it is impossible for parents or mentors to cut off the resources, young people must use own judgement to distinguish between negativeness and positiveness. Also, having a healthful living means a regular living schedule. We fired one intern last month in our company, since his life is irregular and most of the mornings he looks extremely tired and thus, he fails to accomplish many tasks. This is critical since if you do not show respect to yourself, you will not receive respects from others.
Moreover, young people should ensure that goods and services they may offer embody the highest possible standard of quality, productivity and value. As I mentioned above, most of the tasks submitted by that intern is a failure. He did not strive for the best quality of his tasks, and then, this bad result embodies him. In other words, we might think he is disqualified for the job. Therefore, this rule is important because what you offer embodies yourself.
Finally, young people should not disturb the lives and paces of others through rowdy and aggressive behaviors. We can describe a kid who keeps beeping the door bell as a naughty boy, whereas a young person who speak to the cellphone loudly, who cut the line without any reasons, or who plays rock music at the mid-night in a quiet neighborhood will be considered as a rude and unwell-come person. Hence, young people are supposed to stick on this rule and keep it in mind all the time.
In short, although today's world is not permanent, especially with the rapid transmission of all kinds of information, some rules are still the basic and fundamental criteria for all the human beings. Those rule are never too strict for young people to follow and obey.
