初涉阅读，求解36套ex2的第9题

答案为A,B
对A的疑惑在于，文中是有一句说产生的激素对于食草动物的影响是它们会害怕，但是我不觉得这解释了为什么它们总是害怕啊？
对B的语义本身有点疑惑，翻译过来是“大型哺乳动物的注意力程度是什么”么？觉得不通啊，对some of the degrees of attention 应该怎么理解？B选项这句话是什么意思啊？还有文章哪里回答了这个问题？

哦，所以B选项应该大致理解成mammal中的attention是什么，然后对应第二段首句：某种智能是attention？
我主要纠结some of the degrees什么意思，想成注意力的程度了，真要命
