1: Summarizing Your Professional Experience

This is an important section of your resume, especially for MBA programs which can have a work experience requirement. Always list your most recent position first. If you have had multiple positions within the samecompany, show the overall dates for employment and then dates for each specificposition with the most recent first.

Try to have the descriptions of yourroles should focus on your accomplishments, not job responsibilities, in eachposition. If possible, quantifyyour accomplishments with the impact on the company (i.e. increased sales byxx%, reduced turnover x%, identified cost savings of $xx,xxx).  

If you are early in your career andyour professional experience is limited, be sure to include summer jobs,part-time employment, and internships. Again, identify accomplishments for eachand highlight any leadership roles you may have had.

在申请MBA 的时候，无疑你的工作经历最为引人关注。最好在写的时候能具体化或者数字化一些你的成就，比如一个月中增加了多少销售量等等这样的描述。

2: Summarizing Your Academic Experience

The committee also wants to see your academic qualifications. If your degree is recent, you can choose to list it prior to your work experience butfor most resumes it should follow professional experience.  

List the school you attended, the dates you attended and the degree you earned with your major noted. Include any/all undergraduate and graduate level degree work you have done. If yougraduated with an honors status such as “summa cum laude” you can note that aswell.  

Listing specific courses is not necessary unless you have limited experience and you want to highlight a fewkey courses you have taken that are relevant to the graduate degree you arepursuing.
