附个网上看到的东西 Hello Everyone: I just called one of the current Admissions Committee members for you guys regarding the change in Essay #1. Due to the high amount of people who mis-read the essay directions and called the Admissions Office complaining that they had already written a 750 word essay, the Admissions Committee has decided to accomodate these people and changed the requirements to allow everyone to write UP TO 750 words. You are not required, or even expected, to write a 750 word essay, and if you have already completed the essay at 250 words, I highly recommend you keep the essay as is. The AdComm designed this essay to be short, concise, and focused, so don't change it if this is how you wrote it, and don't feel you have to expand on it. Again, this change is only to help those who have already written a 750 word essay, and those who have alreay written the 250 words can keep their essay or expand at will. I think this is another indicator of how USC really cares about its applicants and respond to the needs of their students, and trust me when I say other universities would not be this accommodating. -Bernard (former Marshall AdComm) |
