culprits-Humans and imported foods are the real culprits.
Livestock
Pervading-There is a pervading wisdom that local animals area predominant source of pathogens
3 438 2min29
Surveillance- the authors say that the country does not haveadequate surveillance in place to determine whether imported food is a sourceof new pathogens.

Stigma- the study will also help remove some of the stigmaof being left-handed.
Cilia- One of the cilia genes, GLI3, also helps build thecorpus callosum, a bundle of nerves that connects the two hemispheres of thebrain. -Cilia are hairlike appendages on cells that act a bit like GPS unitsand direct many aspects of development of a wide range of species, includinghumans.
6 338 1min56
Stray- The animal, a possible stray from hundreds ofkilometres away in Michigan or Minnesota (although it cannot be ruled out thatit was once captive), was also a player in a growing debate that mixes science, politics and passionate public opinion.

Tropical forest has been a natural carbon sink. Legume canabsorb 9 times faster than other species. How the legume go through this magicprocess. New study about how different features influence the performing of thelegume. This finding is really important and will be the foundation of futurestudy.

Not all the epidemics, such as the situation in Scotland, derive from livestock, a fact that can be substantiated through samples.(The cattle in the picture is innocent!!!)
Time 3: 2'08"
The samples found that the epidemic in Scotland is not result from cattles
1.reason:the bacteria collection of human has a broader spectrum than cattles do.
2.livestocks are at least not the sole resources.
3.some other factors such as intenational meat-trade or meat-sale.

The direction of handedness may be influenced by genes, though the genes is very difficult to identify.

1.P is thought to be mostly linked to the handness preference.
2.B thought there must be other genetic variations.
3.still a puzzle that cannot be testified clearly.
4.we should treat left handness indiscriminately.

the passage show the outline of the event that the break out of the epodemics. A argument raise about whether Livestick was the only source of the epidemic.

3 2"50
the passage point out that there are a lot of ways to spread this disease. what is more,it is harder to control antibiotic-resistant pathogens at a local scale.”For it is internationally spread.

scientists want to find out whether genetics controls hand preference.

5 1"44
the reason that people use different hands is still a mystery to the scientists. But the study will also help remove some of the stigma of being left-handed. Left-handedness isn’t a character flaw or a sign of being sinister, he says: “It’s an outcome of genetic variation.”

6 2"09
the passage talk about the protection that will help the recovery of wolfs. the passage also show the change of the protection to make the proctection more accurate to protect a specific wolf subgroup.

Scientists found that mass epidemics come from foreign countries by studing Scottish outbreaks.

02:10
Humans also transfer baceria to livestocks
Scientist think that epidemics and drug-resisitance may come fromt the imported food and foreigners.
It's a global issue. This situation does not just happen in Scotland.

01:02
Scientists make a study to find which dozens of genes are invloved in the direction of handedness.
They used a statistical sweep of DNA.

01:30
Scientists found that PCSK6 is involved in this issue.
Some other genes must have some effect on the handedness, too. But they are still unknown to Human.
But apparently the left-handedness is a outcome of a genetic variation.

01:56
The united states has made the grey wolf on the list of extinct animals and has taken action to protect them.
But recent evidence showed that they are not in extinction any more.
So the FWS decided to remove the protection of Grey Wolf and put its resource on Mexican wolf.

A study finds that the presence of legume trees ensured rapid forest growth in the first 12 years of recovery and thus a substantial carbon "sink," or carbon-storage capacity.
Forest can absorb millions of tons carbon dioxide, helping sinking the greenhouse gas.
Legumes plays a important role in this process, working as a nitrogen fixation.Nitrogen is important for trees to grow and to absorb carbon dioxide.By nurturing bigger, healthier trees that take up more carbon.
But study shows that nitrogen fixation are easy affected by the diversity in the forest.Even one species disappears, the rate of producing nitrogen declines dramaticly.
This discovery on nitrogen fixation will help other scientits a lot in the research about carbon sink.

the prevalent of some sort of animal disease is caused by import
the bacteria causes different illness in human and in animals
to sufficiently solve this disease must need the cooperation of the world
experiment to locate the source of epidemics
Time 3: 2'47
strains infecting people and strains infecting livestock are different
the resistant is not from livestock, maybe outsiders carried in and let some small group have resistance
the problem is a global problem. epidemic can be easily spread because of the meat trading across boundaries. need more attention about this global problem

the evidence of different handedness
MM believe there is no single gene related handedness
the more use of one hand, the stronger left- or right-handed they were
Time 5: 1'54
a kind of gene is found and is said to be related to the handedness
B believed that gene is not the only reason. and did experiment with mouse to prove that
still mystery how genes direct handedness. LA suggests other genes may play a role
Time 6: 1'48
a hunter hunt a wolf, which is under protection
the protection about wolf was started several years ago in order to protect the endangered species
after many years' protection, the wolves have grown in numbers, and already expand to other region
the remove of the protection will control the number of wolf and concentrate its resources on protection for Mexican wolf.
Obstacle: 7'04
legume has great function to help plants to absorb nitrogen for growth, also helpful for air condition
recent study show that legume may contribute to reduce carbon dioxide
legumes are important for forest recovering
nine legume species do not contribute nitrogen to surrounding trees at the same time
this knowledge will help scientist to know future climate change

1.2-00
Cattles are used to be regraded as the scantuary for bacterias to infect human beings. However, a recent study that compare the strains of local animals and humans suggests that strains of other countries are similar to these local strains.
2.3-03
Scientists find that the bacteria not only can be transfered from animals to humans, but also can spread from humans to animals. What's more, the local cattles shouldn't be the main reason for the illness, considering so many other factors, such as imported food and humans from other countries. Nevertheless, we should take into account what the study reveals is not to ask us don't pay attention to the local animals to prevent the disease, but rather consider other resoures of the disease. Some people appeal that this is a so complicated global question that many countries should care about their food security.
3.1-15
Researchers in England are interested in discovering the left-hand genes, substances that conduct people to use their left hands more frequently than use their right hands. Even though some people think it is very arduous to pick out the genes, researchers still do experiments about more than 3,000 people to obtain useful information.
4.1-45
From the research, people find out that P6, previously found to be related to the left-hand habit, may contribute to the difference. What's more, they also think G, a nervous substance, perhaps can affect the left-hand habit. However, the question is how do these substances work. Scientists believe that they will find more information in the furture.
5.2-08
The number of gray wolves in United States was so small in the past that the government decided to protect the animal; however, presently, there are many gray wolves around Great Lake and Rocky mountains, so the government determines to cancel the protection and to protect a special kind of gray wolves.
6.6-11
Legumes have an important effect on the plants, helping other plants to obtain nitrogen from the atmosphere. Besides, the process also is important for the amount of carbon dioxide, which can influence the climate in some degree. Scientists want to know how dramatically these legumes are functional and how the climate will be changed. From their research, we know that not only can legumes affect the forests, but also the enviorment of forests will influence legumes. If other plants die dramatically, legumes will also be in trouble.

Legume is a kind of nitrogen fixer. Legume can regulate and contribute nitrogen for surrounding trees. If the diversity of nitrogen fixer is damaged, nitrogen fixer will lose function and the forest will stop absorbing carbon. Scientists study what affect nitrogen fixer and the relationship between nitrogen fixer and “carbon sink”. Nitrogen fixer is essential for the amount of carbon in the atmosphere.
