Try EMBA or some 1-year programs, i.e. Kellogg 1-yr, Columbia J-term, etc.
USC IBEAR is designed for 10-yr w/e
some European programs are also for more experienced professionals
some entrepreneurial programs might also be interesting for you
the reasons why typical 2-yr programs prefer younger applicants are easier to outplace, since employers always want to pay less for more, and young graduates are more willing to trade in their compensations for future development; plus, young students are more trainable, more "outrageously" creative, and can be "fascinated" by bazaar leadership activities.
Most of time, the negotiation power gets flipped that senior applicants are unwilling to sacrifice their precious family time to study a 2-yr full-time program.
Otherwise, senior applicants actually benefits MBA programs, since they can pull up the average age, average year of work experience, higher salary level before MBA, more mature, developed stronger field expertise, more experienced in management and leadership practices, more realistic in consulting and entrepreneurial projects, more connected, possess better negotiation skills, more savvy in job hunting, can land high salary jobs, and have stronger financial power.
As long as you can benefit the programs, the more willing they'll accept you.
Sincerely,
David |
