Recently, there is a hotly debated topic, that is whetere teachersas the major source of students' knowledge should recept courses to updatetheir knowldege or not. Some people arugue that the development of modernsoceity decides that people , no matter how long they devote themselves on theparticular field, are easily and readily behind the currency, which issaturated with numerous latest information and knowledge. While otherscontradicts the opinion. As for me, I think the requirement should take the specificsituation into account. In other words, no general principle can be appliedinto every situation and can be the solution to every problem.

As the impetus of students' passion on academics,professors in university should take courses constantely to update theirknowledge. It is belived that education, especially college education, exerts apivotal impact on people' future, horizon and outlook. Those professors, who arein the middle of the currency, should keep up with the latest news and knowledgein the academics. Therefore, they are more capable and qualified to input whatthey have learned to those school members. Besides, the university students arenot some passive receptacles to accept predigested knowledge. So, most studentswould try every possible and potential approach and means to acquire the updateknowledge to chase dreams, achieve goals and broaden horizons. If professorsdon't keep themeselves informed of knowledge, students would obviously turn toacquire knowledge by their own; hence, students would begin to skip classes,which is a phenomenon that no one in the university would like to observe.

While other teachers, such as the primary teachers orwho teach in the elemtary schools, should not be forced to take courses toupdate their knowledge. The difference in is not indicates that the quality of educationof university overwhelms the elemtary one. Students who take elementary coursesor primary classes are not obliged to grasp sophisticated knowledge. Thatmeans, to cultivate their critical thinking ability, teacher should teach studentsknowledge in width, not impart particualr knowledge in depth. Those studentswho are still in the formation years should not be confined to a specificaspect of knowledg, they should be exposed to various academic fields, from artto history, science to literature. Through comprehend of basic background ofthe worls' knowldege structure, one can pick out his or her own intereting assoon as possible, then they would have plenty of time to devote to somespecific academic field.

Although it is true that not all school teachers needto take courses to update theiri knowledge, what they should require is tolearn the updated methodalogy means. Each teacher will develop his or her wayto impart students knowledge, but this methodology would not be applied toevery generation, and would not be employeed under every situation. The scienceof methodology would provide teachers with the latest means of how to teach astudent more productivity, more creativity and more effectively. The course onmethodalogy shold be followed up by teachers in different levels of education,in the reason that it would boost teachers' ability to incubate their knowledgeto students in a more efficient way.

Above all, the purpose of enhancing the quality ofeducation should not only consider the knowledge structure of teachers, butshould cast its light on other realms. For example, students should be requireto take other extra outdoor curricula,take participate in social acitivitiesand attend lectures explaing further academic knowledge. By enlarging students'approah to gain knowledge, one would greatly initiate students' passion intolearning, obtain increasing methods to acquire various knowledge.
