C. 选项除了their单复错误，后面的ranging为什么错了啊，ranging的错误是不是因为它其实修饰的应该是its share of the $21 billion book market in the country，而不是a market?

     但是这个选项的后半段从语法上来看应该是没有问题的吧？

ranging修饰market没有错，正确选项E可以看出ranges修饰的正是market (which靠近原则)
a market ranging没语法错误，就是个简单的独立主格
但本句独立主格表达不如定语从句好，因为独立主格是对主句表伴随、补充说明；而定语从句清晰的修饰market；

C的致命错误在in
increase是个倒装，本应该是increase its share of the country's 2 billion book market, which ranges from obscure textbooks to mass-market paperbacks to 10 percent from b percent
简言之就是increase sth to ... from  倒装成了increase to...from... sth

C的in多余
