我越看越觉得你译提挺通顺，但是看不出你译的思路是什么？ as it is compared to 中it的指代是谁？ 如果是type那么就是type is compared to weight ……。变成主动语态就是compare typpe to weight （ ……condition ）这时应该翻译成把类型比作……重量。如果it 不是指代的type那又是什么用法呢？最重要的是你是怎么译出来可由重量，速度，距离，表面状况和环境适应性等区别的
同理as it is reltes to……这里我也看不出来你翻译的意思，这里 应该和前一个一样；an equationt as it relates to cost per hour（定语从句）. 但是怎么译出来的以小时测算的……

这里的as，应该是表条件。 你把它翻译成当……
当类型间的比较是由重量，速度，距离。。。。。 有些英文翻译直译很恶心的。翻译出来也很变扭。
as it is compared to weight... 你看这句话的时候，就找到两个关系，tire type as it is compared to...
1) as从句是修饰tire type 的， 即：当……（后面是各种比较都方式， 你就可以理解成，当……为区分时）
2）as it is compared to .... type 是被比较的， 就是说，通过不同的划分方式来被比较（中文里面被动状态一般不表示出来，所以如果直译出来会很奇怪， 但是，你想想， 这个肯定不是主动的，主动就意味着type它自己比，type只能是被比，肿么能自己比呢？）
知道这两个了，你就可以自己按照中文的思维翻译出来了~
同样， 在as it is relates to cost per hour
as:当…… relate to... 一看就是凭借什么的感觉， 如果直译的话，就是 价格涉及每小时。 看着多奇怪。 你只要知道，这个价格，说的是与每小时有关系的就可以意译： 以小时计算的。
你觉得呢~？
可是被动是可以转换成主动的啊，type is compared to site weight ……。我们可以说 we compare type to site weight ……。我怎么看也觉得不合理，那个site你把它当成动词啦？？那个是个名词啊，你当成动词以后后边的名词怎么办呢？因为site weight 根本就不搭配啊？而且同样也译不出你说的意思来，我们比较轮胎的类型以放置重量，条件。 或者轮胎通过被比较以放置重量，条件……。这里如果当成不定式只能是目的状语啊
