1. Don't be caught up too much by the questions. They're the guidelines to help you organize your thoughts and think through your future plan. Once you truly know who you are and what you want to do, the essays will come naturally.

2. In CD MBA 2004 Interview, I shared some of my thoughts on last year's essays, which are 80% the same as this year's. You can refer to it for more details.

3. There's no standard RIGHT answers, including mine. It's your own interpretation of those questions that will make you different from others.

I am tired of essay writing now. Some times, I can not fully use the word limit. Say, I may only write 300 words for a 500-word-limit essay. Is that OK?

From what you said here, I may postphone my application to the R3, through there is a risk.

The path to seek the true self is often long, painful, but worthwhile. You'll find the experience valuable regardless of the result. Keep it up! -- it's last mile!

If possible, you may want to take advantage of the word limit as much as possible. Detailed examples always help. However, if you believe your story is already complete, it's totally fine without reaching the limit.

I think it's quite evenly split this year, if I remember correctly.

I never noticed this details when I did this. I believe HBS uses the most common GPA calculation. I simply copied the data from my original transcript.

There are as many clubs as you can imagine. I joined a few. However, what I found is that you probably don't have enough time to be involved in all of them. 2-3 is max. Don't know much about the Real Estate Club. You can find the details about the clubs on HBS's website.
